Best Places to Eat, Washington D.C.

This past weekend, my parents came to visit (yay!). One of my favorite things about Washington D.C. is the FOOD. I LOVE delicious, healthy (and not so healthy) foods that are priced well and super yummy! I took my parents to my favorite places to eat in Washington D.C. and they LOVED it all.

BRUNCH

Founding Farmer's: Everyone LOVES Founding Farmer's. It is nestled right in the middle of Foggy Bottom and just three blocks away from the White House. It is famous for it's fresh and delicious brunches! Make sure to book a reservation at least four days before hand if you have more than two people. There is always a line outside because it is simply amazing!

My Favorite Dish: the Founding Farmer's Breakfast with Chicken Apple Sausage, Ciabatta Bread, Grits, & a side of Black Pepper Maple Bacon! YUM.

District Commons: $16 Bottomless Mimosas!! Located in Foggy Bottom near GW and less than a mile from Georgetown, District Commons has delicious breakfast and $16 Bottomless Mimosas.

My Favorite Dish: β€œCast Iron Skillet” Huevos Rancheros

Beuchert's Saloon: $16 Bottomless Mimosas!! This cute and intimate Saloon is in Eastern Market, just blocks away from the Capital building. After Brunch, check out the Eastern Market with artisan gifts and delicious fruits.

My Favorite Dish: Beurchert's Breakfast

LUNCH

SweetGreen: Design-your-own salad or choose from their super healthy designed salad, this quick and easy lunch is super healthy and always has a long line! They are located all over the city.

My Favorite Dish: Mexican Corn Elote Bowl

Le Bon Cafe: A cute little French styled cafe perfect to stop by after a tour of the Capitol.

My Favorite Dish: Southwest Chicken Wrap

District Taco: With three locations through out the District you can't miss District Taco, especially on #TacoTuesday!

My Favorite Dish: Steak Tacos

DINNER

Cambria Bridget

Old Ebbitt Grill: Right across from the White House, this delicious grill always has had a waiting line since the 1850s because it's just that good!

My Favorite Dish: 5oz Filet Mignon (it's only $20).

Ben's Chili Bowl: This classic restaurant is on U Street and has been dined at by some of the greats! President Obama has dined here too!

My Favorite Dish: Ben's Classic Chili Dog

DESSERT

Baked & Wired: Thanks to TLC everyone knows of Georgetown Cupcakes, but personally I LOVE Baked & Wire even more! The cupcakes are fresh, delicious, and huge!!

My Favorite Cupcake: Carrot Cake

Momofuku Milk Bar: For a tasting treat on a hot summer day, I LOVE the milk bar! Being lactose intolerant limits how often I can have icecream, but thankfully this delicious milk bar uses Cereal Milk instead! It's delicious, healthy, & YUMMY.

My Favorite Dish: Chocolate Malt Cake Shake

I LOVE food so if have any incredible food recommendations in DC, I would be more than happy to check them out!!
