Hey y'all! I'm going to rewind a little bit to Thanksgiving Break 2015 when my family and I traveled to Clearwater, Florida! I've been thinking a lot recently about places I could picture myself living and working after graduation (kind of scary to think about, right?). One of the those places has been Florida! Seven days in Florida and I was in love. Delicious food, beautiful beaches, and sweet iced tea, it was a dream!
For the holiday we flew to Florida to visit our cousins and celebrate Thanksgiving. The night before our (10:00 AM) flight from Los Angeles to Miami was my sorority's formal. I was exhausted and instantly fell asleep on the plane. We had a few delays and not much time to explore Miami that Saturday. The next morning we were up early and headed to South Beach in Miami for an oceanside Brunch. White walls, marble tables, and green palm leaves surrounding the patio made for a perfect Sunday Brunch! I don't know if I was more excited for the endless shrimp or the endless mimosas...
After brunch, we explored the city before heading in the car and driving to Fort Meyers. The Pepperdine men's basketball team was playing in a tournament, so we stopped by for a few nights and watched!
Our cousins were visiting Sanibel and Captiva Islands right near Fort Meyers for a few days, so we headed over to the cutest southern vacation spot I've ever seen! Y'ALL THIS PLACE IS ADORABLE. There is this little restaurant called The Bubble Room at the end of Captiva Island that is bright, colorful, and decorated like Christmas all year long! Also a slice of cake was the size of my face, so naturally I had to eat it all!
After Captiva and Fort Meyers, we drove to Clearwater, Florida. I LOVED all of the beautiful palm trees, the sunshine, the white beaches, and the sweet southern hospitality. Bike rides along the beach and sipping out of Vineyard Vines bottles was so much fun!
I absolutely adore Florida and I can not wait to go back!
