A Military Wedding Brain Dump: One Week

Yes, you read that right! Seven more days until I get to marry the kindest, most loving, handsome, and amazing man in the entire world.

This process has been far from easy because planning a military wedding is hard; but we made it!

There are so many emotions, mainly anticipation, for what this amazing life has in store for us. In just 7 days, I get to stand in front of God and the people who mean the most in our life and commit myself to the love of my life. It is surreal to think that just about seven months ago we went on a hike in Evergreen, Colorado and sweet RPG got down on one knee and asked to spend the rest of our lives together. I had no idea what was next for us and even now we still have no clue when/where our next step will be. But I think there is so much beauty in the idea that we get to pick one person who we trust and love unconditionally to take this absolutely crazy adventure of life together and promise, unconditionally, to ride every season with them. I pray that God guides our marriage, our partnership, and our friendship. I am so excited for many more years of rolling on the floor laughter, spontaneous dance parties, home made pizza nights, hikes, and dinners by the ocean. But I am even more excited for the decision we make every day to be together and create our own family.

With all that being said, I am hoping to take the next few days to relax and enjoy these moments with my family friends. For the next week, I am taking a hiatus from all social media because I want to walk into our wedding week focused on what is most important - our marriage and the celebration, happiness, and joy we are going to have.

Brides, do you have any advice on how to stay centered and relaxed on the big day?
